Two-Year Beauty Therapy Qualification
The two-year programme that awards the nationally recognised professional beauty therapy qualification. Combines online theory with in-person practical training at our own venues in Liguria.
~700 hours of theory + ~1,100 hours of practical training and placement at our own venues in Liguria. Final exam before the Commissione regionale.
Recognition: Professional Beauty Therapy Qualification — issued by Schola Mastro, accredited body with Regione Liguria for Professional Training (Craft Sector), under Law 1/1990, implementing regional regulations and Legislative Decree 13/2013. Valid in Italy and EU member states (Directive 2005/36/EC). Does not in itself authorise opening a beauty centre independently.
Prerequisites
Formal requirements to enrol in this programme.
- 18 years or older
- Lower secondary school diploma
- For international students: spoken and written Italian language proficiency

- Skin anatomy and physiology
- Cosmetology and cosmetic ingredients
- Facial treatments: cleansing, hydration, anti-ageing
- Body treatments: aesthetic massage, drainage, body sculpting
- Manicure and pedicure
- Hair removal techniques
- Electro-cosmetic equipment for aesthetic use
- Hygiene, sanitation and beauty centre safety
- Industry regulations and Law 1/1990
- Client management and consultation
Career paths
What you can do on completing the programme.
- Employed beauty therapist in a beauty centre, spa or wellness hotel
- Can progress to the professional licence to open your own beauty centre
- Recognised in Italy and EU member states

The licence to practise beauty therapy independently and open your own beauty centre. Direct entry for those with the two-year qualification or three years of documented experience.
