Professional Hairdressing Licence
The licence to practise hairdressing independently and open a salon. Direct entry for those with the two-year qualification or three years of documented work experience.
280 hours of advanced online learning (theory, case studies, virtual workshop) + technical-practical final exam in person before the Commissione regionale at our Liguria venues.
Recognition: Professional Hairdressing Licence — issued by Schola Mastro, accredited body with Regione Liguria for Professional Training (Craft Sector), under Law 174/2005, State-Regions Agreement of 3 November 2021 and Legislative Decree 13/2013. Valid for registration in the Albo Imprese Artigiane throughout Italy and for practising in EU member states under Directive 2005/36/EC.
Prerequisites
Formal requirements to enrol in this programme.
Meeting any one of these is sufficient.
- Two-year Hairdressing Qualification + 1 year of employment in a hairdressing business
- 3 years of qualified work in a hairdressing business within the past 5 years
- IeFP qualification «Wellness Operator — Hairdressing» + placement period
- 18 years or older
- Italian tax code (codice fiscale)

- Advanced hair product chemistry and trichological cosmetology
- Advanced cutting, colouring, bleaching and reconstructive treatment techniques
- Recognition of the most common hair and scalp conditions
- Labour law and hairdressing sector regulations
- Workplace safety and Legislative Decree 81/2008 for business owners
- Salon marketing, financial management and taxation
- Professional ethics, owner liability and client protection
- Preparation for the technical-practical final exam
